Inventor certification is available in two levels: ACU and ACP. The certifications differ by amount of experience and skill using Inventor. ACU is not required for ACP certification, but it is strongly recommended.

Certification Exam
Autodesk Inventor ACU
To earn Autodesk Inventor certification you must pass the required authorized exam. ACU certification exams are available through Pearson VUE. Students can register for the exam directly with Pearson VUE or via their Autodesk Account. ACU Exams are 30 questions with a duration of 50 minutes.

Autodesk Certified Professional ( ACP ) Inventor certification is for those who possess advanced Inventor skills (typically 1200 hours of real-world experience) and can solve complex challenges in workflow and design. To earn ACP Inventor certification you must pass the required authorized exam. Autodesk certification exams are available through Pearson VUE. Students can register directly for the exam with Pearson VUE or their Autodesk Account. ACP exams are 45-60 questions with a duration of 120 minutes.
