In business since 1983, ONLC has more than 300 locations. Classes are hands-on and taught live via remote instructors using our Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI™) technology. We also provide on-site classes for larger groups.

Client Relations Professional

Location: Corporate HQ, Wilmington, DE
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6:30pm
Starting Compensation: $40,000/year + opportunity for significant bonuses. Premium paid for experience in IT or Training Industry.

This is not a call center CSR position. We’re looking for someone who wants a job where they are not one of hundreds or thousands, but where their efforts have a visible impact every day.

Purpose of this position: To generate revenue by assessing client needs via phone and website chat, answering questions about our company and our computer training classes, and registering customers for classes. To recognize additional/larger sales opportunities that are discovered while talking to customers and relaying those leads to the Sales Manager. Take 1st tier (simple) technical support calls to assist customers who are having difficulty connecting to the class they are attending.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers via telephone and website chat with a variety of needs.
  • Accurately register customers to attend classes, including getting complete contact information, payment information, and class details.
  • Provide customers with accurate details about the class(es) they are interested in, including explaining our remote delivery method, what topics are covered in the class, class dates and times, etc.
  • Clearly communicate with other staff members via email, phone and in person.
  • Help customers correct technical issues, so that they can participate fully in their training class.
  • Administrative and other duties as assigned.
  • The responsibility level of this position will grow as the person’s breadth and depth of knowledge increases.

Required Skills:

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills, has the ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, clients and external partners.
  2. Experience resolving escalated customer complaints with the goal of furthering the relationship with the customer, while keeping the organization’s interests in mind.
  3. Experience looking for additional sales opportunities when talking to clients. Can professionally probe for details, understands when to involve the Sales Manager. Quickly and clearly communicates specifics of the lead.
  4. Is comfortable upselling, when it is appropriate.
  5. Strong attention to detail, has experience working with complex database records.
  6. Ability to recognize a process flaw and proactively works to resolve it either alone or by involving other appropriate people. Ensures that process changes are clearly communicated to all relevant staff members.
  7. Able to work independently, as well as know when to ask for help
  8. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word & Excel
  9. Interest in technology
  10. Strong work ethic and high level of dependability
  11. 5 years of business to business customer relations experience ]
  12. College degree preferred
