An Ethical Hacker is an individual who is typically an employee of their organization and who can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker. To achieve this credential you must pass the EC Council Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures exam. EC Council, short for International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, is a major cyber security certification body that governs sought-after credentials such as CNA, CEH, ECSA and CHFI.
An EC Council certification helps identify qualified, knowledgeable individuals in fields of cyber security. Earning any EC Council certification proves e-business and information security skills. Their certifications are recognized worldwide and have received endorsements from various US government agencies and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
