Effective August 6, 2026
Online Consulting, Inc. dba ONLC Training Centers ("ONLC," "we," "us," or "our") has been training business professionals since 1983. Our students trust us with their contact information when they register for a class, request a quote, or ask a question. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and—just as important—what we will never do with it.
ONLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personally identifiable information (PII) with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes without your consent. We do not convey your personal information to data brokers, lead-generation companies, or advertising networks. The information you give us is used to serve you—to schedule your class, process your registration, answer your questions, and keep you informed about ONLC training.
Mobile opt-in data and SMS/MMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. No mobile information collected by ONLC will be sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all other information-sharing described in this policy.
The only parties who ever see your information are the service providers who help us operate—such as our payment processor, our class-delivery and email systems, and our shipping carriers—and they are permitted to use it only to perform that work for ONLC. They may not use it for their own marketing.
We do share the information needed to run your class with the training partners, contract instructors, and consultants who deliver it. ONLC works with independent instructors, consulting firms, and authorized training partners to teach certain courses. To run a class, these partners need to know who is enrolled and how to reach you. This sharing is limited to delivering the class you registered for—it is never for the partner's own marketing or promotional purposes. See "Training Partners and Contract Instructors" below.
ONLC sends text messages only to individuals who have given express written consent to receive them. You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on an ONLC registration or web form, by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts during a phone conversation with an ONLC representative, or by texting a keyword we have published. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any ONLC class, product, or service.
Messages relate to your training with ONLC: class confirmations and reminders, schedule or classroom changes, remote-connection instructions, registration and account notices, replies to questions you have sent us, and occasional information about ONLC courses and promotions.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your plan with your wireless carrier; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to any ONLC text message to end messages at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at 800-288-8221 or [email protected].
Your mobile number and your SMS/MMS consent are used solely to deliver the messages described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number, your opt-in status, or your consent record with any third party for marketing purposes. We share this data only with the messaging providers that deliver our texts on our behalf, and only for that purpose.
When you register for a class or purchase a product or service, we ask for contact information (such as your name, company, email address, mailing address, and telephone or mobile number) and payment information (such as credit card number and expiration date). We use this to process your order, reserve your seat, and reach you if there is a problem with your registration.
When you request a quote, ask a question, download materials, or chat with us on our site, we collect the contact information you provide so we can respond.
From time to time we may invite you to take a survey or enter a promotion. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you choose whether to give us the information requested.
As is true of most websites, we automatically gather certain technical information and store it in log files, including IP address, browser type, referring and exit pages, operating system, and date/time stamp. We use this information, which does not identify you individually, to analyze trends, administer the site, and understand our audience as a whole. We do not link this automatically collected data to your personally identifiable information.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies to make our site easier to navigate and to measure how our pages perform. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. We do not link the information stored in cookies to the personally identifiable information you submit on our site. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, though some features may be limited.
We use the information you provide to:
We will send you service-related announcements when it is necessary to do so—for example, a confirmation when you register for or cancel a class, or a notice that a class time has changed. These messages are not promotional, and generally you may not opt out of them while you are enrolled.
We occasionally send information about our classes, special pricing, and promotions. Out of respect for your privacy, you may decline these at any time. See "Your Choices and How to Opt Out" below.
If you subscribe to an ONLC newsletter, we use your name and email address to send it to you. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.
We share information with vendors who perform services for ONLC—payment processing, email and text message delivery, class hosting and delivery platforms, shipping, and website analytics. These providers may use your information only to perform work for ONLC and are prohibited from using it for their own marketing.
ONLC does not employ every instructor who teaches for us. From time to time we engage independent contract instructors, consultants, and authorized training partners to deliver certain classes, particularly specialized or vendor-authorized courses. When one of these partners is teaching a class you have registered for, we share the information required to run it—typically your name, email address, company, and the course and session you are enrolled in—so the instructor can provide the roster, courseware, lab environments, connection details, and completion records.
We share only what the partner needs to deliver your class. Training partners and contract instructors are required to use your information solely for that purpose and are prohibited from using it for their own marketing or promotional purposes, and from passing it on to anyone else.
Some vendor-authorized courses also require us to report your enrollment or completion to the certifying vendor (for example, to issue an official certificate, digital badge, courseware license, or exam voucher). Where a course carries that requirement, it is a condition of the vendor's authorized training program.
If your employer, a training coordinator, or a funding organization is paying for your class, we will share the enrollment and attendance information necessary to complete and document that registration.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information when required by law, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
If Online Consulting, Inc. goes through a business transition—such as a merger, an acquisition, or a sale of all or part of its assets—your information would likely be among the assets transferred. We will post prominent notice on our website for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information. Any successor would remain bound by the commitments in this policy, including our commitment not to sell or share your information for marketing purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade our student lists. We do not provide your name, email address, telephone number, or mobile number to third parties so they can market to you without your consent. We do not share SMS/MMS opt-in data or consent with anyone for marketing purposes. The training partners and contract instructors described above receive only what is needed to run your class, and may not market to you.
You are in control of how we contact you:
Opting out of promotional messages will not affect the service-related notices we must send about a class you are enrolled in.
If your information changes, or if you would like us to correct or remove it, email our Customer Support at [email protected], or contact us by telephone or postal mail at the address below. We will honor your request except where we are required to retain records for accounting, accreditation, or legal purposes.
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information in transit using industry-standard TLS. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you have any questions about security on our website, email us at [email protected].
ONLC provides training for business professionals. Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Our website contains links to sites that are not owned or controlled by Online Consulting, Inc. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of every website that collects personally identifiable information.
If we change this policy, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. If we make material changes, we will notify you here or by a notice on our home page. Please review this page periodically.
