Microsoft authorized training classes at ONLC - a long-standing Microsoft Gold Learning Partner Microsoft Certification Overview

Microsoft technical-level certifications have been reinvented to maintain their market relevance as the industry shifts to the cloud.

Current credentials include Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD).

To ensure that certifications are meaningful and valuable indicators of candidates’ skills, Microsoft has implemented a recertification requirement for the MCSE and MCSD certifications. MCSE candidates will be required to recertify every three years, while MCSD candidates will recertify every two years.

ONLC Training Centers is a Microsoft Gold Learning Partner. We have been delivering authorized training for Microsoft since Microsoft first introduced their professional certifications.

You can attend Microsoft authorized classes at any of our more than 300 training locations or from your home or office computer with our Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI™).

To achieve any technical-level Microsoft certification you must pass the designated authorized exam(s). The best way to prepare for those exams is with authorized, instructor-led training.

Microsoft has several levels of certification.

ENTRY LEVEL (Technical-level)

Microsoft Technology Associate ( MTA ) validates the fundamental knowledge those new to IT need to start building a career in Microsoft technologies. With a modest investment of time and resources, candidates can build foundational understanding in the areas of IT Infrastructure, Database or Development.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate ( MCSA ) proves that you have the core technical skills in newer software versions required to build a sustainable career in IT.

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist ( MCTS ) validates core technology and product skills—features, functions and implementation. These certifications enable professionals to target specific technologies and to distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in their specialized technologies. An MCTS is consistently capable of implementing, building, troubleshooting, and debugging a particular Microsoft technology.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer ( MCSD ) proves your ability to build innovative solutions across multiple technologies, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert ( MCSE ) Proves your ability to build innovative solutions across multiple technologies, both on-premises and in the cloud.

Microsoft Certified IT Professional ( MCITP ) / Microsoft Certified Professional Developer ( MCPD ) make up the second series. Your technology focus determines which of these titles you receive. This series validates specific job-role skills outside of core technology, such as operational processes and procedures and analyzing business problems. Individuals who have current, related Microsoft certifications will be able to follow an upgrade path directly to this series.

Microsoft masters-level certifications validate the deepest level of product expertise, as well as the ability to design and build the most innovative solutions for complex on-premises, off-premises, and hybrid enterprise environments using Microsoft technologies. The Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) certification program is evolving into the Microsoft Certified Solutions Master.
