EC Council, short for International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, is a major cyber security certification body that governs sought-after credentials such as CNA, CEH, ECSA and CHFI.

An EC Council certification helps identify qualified, knowledgeable individuals in fields of cyber security. Earning any EC Council certification proves e-business and information security skills. Their certifications are recognized worldwide and have received endorsements from various US government agencies and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Certified Network Defender ( CND ) certification

Certified Network Defender ( CND ) is a core-level certification that focuses on creating Network Administrators who are trained on protecting, detecting and responding to the threats on the network. A CND candidate will get the fundamental understanding of the true construct of data transfer, network technologies, software technologies so that the they understand how networks operate, understand what software is automating and how to analyze the subject material.

Certified Network Defender ( CND )
Certified Network Defender (CND) is a vendor-neutral, hands-on, instructor-led comprehensive network security certification training program. It is a skills-based, lab intensive program based on a job-task analysis and cybersecurity education framework presented by the National Initiative of Cybersecurity Education (NICE). The course has also been mapped to global job roles and responsibilities and the Department of Defense (DoD) job roles for system/network administrators. View outline & dates .

Certified Ethical Hacker ( CEH ) certification

A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is a skilled professional who understands and knows how to look for the weaknesses and vulnerabilities in target systems and uses the same knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker. This individual is usually employed with an organization and can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker.

Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator ( CHFI ) certification

A Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) has the skills to identify an intruder’s footprints and to properly gather the necessary evidence to prosecute in the court of law. CHFI certification will fortify the application knowledge of law enforcement personnel, system administrators, security officers, defense and military personnel, legal professionals, bankers, security professionals, and anyone who is concerned about the integrity of the network infrastructure.

EC-Council’s CHFI credential certifies individuals in the specific security discipline of computer forensics from a vendor-neutral perspective.

Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)

CHFI is a comprehensive course covering major forensic investigation scenarios and the course enables students to acquire necessary hands-on experience with various forensic investigation techniques and standard forensic tools necessary to successfully carryout a computer forensic investigation leading to prosecution of perpetrators.

EC-council Certified Security Analyst

ECSA is an upper-level, professional certification. Though you do not have to be a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) to attend this training, CEH is strongly recommended. If you do not already have core ethical hacking skills and knowledge, this training is not for you and possibly you should consider EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other security-related training at ONLC.

EC-Council Certified Security Analyst ( ECSA )

The five-day ECSA course takes the tools and techniques learned in the Certified Ethical Hacker course (CEH) and elevates your ability by teaching you how to apply the skills learned in the CEH by utilizing EC-Council’s published penetration testing methodology.

Certification Exam

ECSA v10

There is an eligibility requirement before you may undertake this exam. If a candidate attends the ECSA course with ONLC, the candidate is eligible for the exam without going through the application process separately. Applicants who do NOT attend training with an approved provider must prove 2 years of information security experience which must be submitted via EC Council’s application form along with a non-refundable application fee before being considered for the exam.
