Adobe software is virtually the same on the Mac and PC platforms. When taking this class from one of our locations, it will be taught using PC hardware with Windows software. Minor Mac keyboard and interface differences will be highlighted by the instructor. When taking this course from home or office, students can use either PC or Mac hardware to attach to the hosted Windows-based Adobe software.

Overview
This class includes a thorough review of the Dreamweaver interface including how to use Design, Code and Live Code views. You will learn to create and edit basic pages in Design and Code views. You will then learn to integrate page elements, including images and links, and how to apply properties including font types, styles and color.

Lessons include an overview of the basics of HTML, which is the markup language used to structure all web pages through the use of tags. Basic knowledge of HTML is required to use Dreamweaver effectively. You will also learn the syntax of CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) rules, and how to create, edit and troubleshoot style sheets.

You will learn how to use visual aids and hints to help you code more easily. Learn shortcuts for writing and editing code including use of the tag selector and code navigator. Create, edit and view CSS rules using the CSS panel and Property panel. Link global or embedded styles sheets to sites and pages, or to page templates to save time creating and managing large or complex sites. Learn to view, edit and upload associated files including JavaScript files.

Our Adobe classes are for users of the CC and CS6 versions. These classes run on the CC version of the software but are relevant for CS6 users as well. In addition, we upgrade our software shortly after new training materials are released from Adobe. Typically new content is available within 2 to 4 months of a software release.

Course Objectives
In this course, you will use Dreamweaver CC to design, build, maintain, and upload websites. You will:

Quite often even experienced users find they benefit from a Core Skills: Level 1 class to fill in the gaps in their knowledge. Overview
Once you gain a foundation and some experience using Core Skills, you are ready for Level 2 training. IMPORTANT: To ensure you have the necessary skills for successful participation in the Level 2 training for Dreamweaver, please carefully review the topics included in the Level 1 course for Dreamweaver.

In Level 2 classes, content is covered at a faster pace and additional focus is placed on use of shortcuts and real world 'tips and tricks' to improve your workflow.

Each lesson includes unique and challenging project files. The Level 2 class also goes more thoroughly into advanced topics with some of the project files from our Level 1 courses.

COURSE DETAILS

Overview
This Adobe On-Demand class will cover have the same topics elearning topics that are covered in the Adobe Dreamweaver Core Skills: Level 1 and Level 2 classes through the elearning web edition of the text. This class also includes expanded Dreamweaver tutorials and related labs which are designed to reinforce new skills and prepare the user for the Adobe ACP Certification exam for Dreamweaver. It is not required that the student take the exams.

Version Note
Our Creative Cloud classes upgrade to the latest CC version as soon as new official training materials are released from Adobe. This is typically 2 to 4 months from a new software release. In addition, the expanded tutorials are oriented toward the Adobe ACP certification exams. The tutorials are typically updated within 6 months of a new exam release.
