Watch an RCI Demo

Use the link below to view a 5-minute streaming video file from a Macromedia Flash class. The demo illustrates some key points about our RCI process and technology. Here are some things that you should look for:

• Use of Video.  The instructor briefly turns on the web camera as they return from break. This lets students place a “voice to a face.”  However, the instructor does not continue to use her video image throughout the presentation.

• Use of Whiteboard.  To answer a student's question, the instructor was able to refer to a whiteboard image that was captured earlier in the day with a mimio™ whiteboard capture device. This saved the instructor the time of having to recreate whiteboard work. In addition, the instructor can print or send that file to student so they have a record of all whiteboard work from the class.

• Engaging Remote Sites.  The instructor engages and acknowledges students joining the class remotely from other cities.

Also note that the demo does not accurately reflect RCI technology in a few ways because we are presenting you with a recorded demonstration. The demo is not representative of RCI in these ways:

• Live Not Recorded.  There are no recorded presentations in an RCI class. Everything is driven by live, instructor-led training. This demo was pre-recorded to give you some sense of what a class would actually feel like.

• Higher Quality.  To reduce the bandwidth requirements for the demo, we reduced the quality of the video images. In a real RCI class you would see high quality, full-screen images.

• Hands-on Access.  The demonstration illustrates the “watching” and “listening” components of an RCI class.  However, what is missing from our demonstration is the “doing” component of a class.  In an actual class, you would have a second computer that you would be able to use to get hands-on practice with the software.
