The Master Schedule

We schedule each class in every location. It all starts with our master schedule of classes. When we schedule a class, we make it available at all of our training locations on the same date. For example, if an Advanced Excel class were scheduled on November 3rd, you could register for that class in any one of our more than 250 training facilities.

We review enrollment levels before each class.
About two weeks before the start of the class, we review the enrollments at our sites to determine which classes need to be cancelled. Because we are able to combine enrollments from across the country, we cancel very few classes. On average, we cancel under 5 percent of our enrollments. Or, put another way, with our RCI scheduling model, there’s over a 95 percent chance that you will be able to take the class that you want, on the date and at the location that you originally selected.

Instructor Location. In almost all cases, students are taking the class with a remote instructor. It is not uncommon for us to have 7 students in the same event taking a class from 7 different locations, with the instructor teaching at a different site.

Student Locations. Although participants know that our classes can be taken virtually from their home or office, approximately 85 percent of our students elect to attend from one of our classroom training facilities.

All locations get live, instructor-led training. Students in these remote locations have a classroom training experience that is very similar to traditional face-to-face instruction. They see the same instructor presentations. They hear the same questions other students pose. They get the same course book. And they work on the same hands-on labs. They are participating in the same live, instructor-led training event—the only difference being that the instructor isn't in the same room with them.
