Mike Rozier is the honoree for Pro Day 2005.

Born March 1, 1961 in Camden, NJ, Mike was an outstanding wishbone fullback in high school. He caught the eye of many colleges and elected to go to Nebraska on a football scholarship. He was teammates with Irving Fryar, a previous Pro Day honoree.

Rozier rewrote the Nebraska rushing and scoring record book, along with making a considerable dent in the Big Eight and NCAA books during a phenomenal senior season.

Awards include:

  • 1983 Heisman Trophy Winner
  • 1983 Maxwell Award Winner
  • 1983 Walter Camp Award Winner
  • Two time Pro Bowler

Rozier was a first-round selection by both the USFL (first pick overall) and the NFL (second pick overall in the supplemental draft).

He elected to go with the Houston Oilers where he played for seven years. Mike finished his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons in 1991.
