Visual Studio is the main Integrated Development Environment (IDE) from Microsoft. It can be used to develop console and GUI applications along with Windows Forms applications, web sites, web applications, and web services.

Visual Studio 2010 has enhanced features that simplify the entire development process from design to deployment. You can customize your workspace with multiple monitor support and create rich applications for SharePoint and the Web. Target multiple versions of the .NET Framework with the same tool and eliminate the dreaded "no repro" problem with IntelliTrace. Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server ( TFS ) is the collaboration platform at the core of Microsoft’s application lifecycle management (ALM) solution. Team Foundation Server 2010 automates the software delivery process and gives you the tools you need to effectively manage software development projects throughout the IT lifecycle.
