An Ethical Hacker is an individual who is typically an employee of their organization and who can be trusted to undertake an attempt to penetrate networks and/or computer systems using the same methods as a Hacker. To achieve this credential you must pass the EC Council Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures exam. EC Council, short for International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, is a major cyber security certification body that governs sought-after credentials such as CNA, CEH, ECSA and CHFI.
An EC Council certification helps identify qualified, knowledgeable individuals in fields of cyber security. Earning any EC Council certification proves e-business and information security skills. Their certifications are recognized worldwide and have received endorsements from various US government agencies and accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ONLC is an EC-Council Accredited Training Center offering authorized courses will help you prepare for several of EC Council's certifications.
