COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Management Center and Reporter for ProxySG R1 course provides a detailed exploration of the Symantec ProxySG’s integration with Management Center and Reporter to provide simplified administrative overhead and increased visibility in Secure Web Gateway deployments.

• Describe the major functions of Management Center and Reporter
• Use Management Center to manage multiple ProxySGs
• Use the enhanced reporting capabilities of Reporter

Who Should Attend
The Management Center and Reporter Administration R1 course is intended for students who wish to master the fundamentals of Management Center and Reporter integrated with Symantec’s ProxySG-based Secure Web Gateway solution. It is designed for students who have not taken any previous training courses about Management Center and Reporter.

Prerequisites
This course assumes that students have a basic understanding of networking concepts, such as local-area networks (LANs), the Internet, security, and IP protocols.

Hands-On
This course includes practical hands- on exercises that enable you to test your new skills and begin to use those skills in a working environment.

Module 2: Simplify Administrative Overhead of the Secure Web Gateway
• Create, distribute, and manage security policy
• Describe the use of Universal Policy Enforcement
• Administer devices using scripting

Module 3: Increase Visibility of a Secure Web Gateway Solution
• Monitor hardware diagnostics
• Describe the use of role-based access to achieve granular control over console area access

Module 4: Introduction to Symantec Reporter
• Overview of Reporter dashboard
• Describe basic Reporter functionality

Module 5: Provide Enhanced Reporting by Integrating Management Center with Reporter
• Describe how Reporter integrates with Management Center to provide a complete reporting solution
• Describe how Reporter integrates with Symantec Web Security Service

Module 6: Review of Management Center and Reporter
• Review of Management Center and Reporter content in previous modules
