ARCHICAD Introduction Course Outline

Overview
ARCHICAD is a powerful 3D computer-aided design and building information modeling (BIM) software used by architects, designers, engineers and builders to professionally design, document and collaborate on building projects. Since its release over 30 years
ago, ARCHICAD has been providing users with the ability to create a highly functional 3D model, where changes made in one view update across all views. Users can take a building model from initial design through construction documentation phase and
generate 3D renderings for presentations.

This class is designed to teach you the core functionality of ARCHICAD, beginning with its graphics user interface, project setup, and basic drawing and editing tools, then progressing to 3D modeling of walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows to create a
highly interactive and intuitive 3D model. Finally, you will learn the process of setting up views and layout sheets using ARCHICAD’s Navigator, one of the most user-friendly organizational tools, to carry you through to construction documentation and
working drawings.

Prerequisites
A working knowledge of basic drafting or architectural terminology. Some prior experience with CAD systems is helpful but not required.
