Managing Windows Server with Windows Admin Center Course Outline

Overview
This one-day course is designed primarily for IT professionals who have some experience with Windows Server. It is designed for professionals who will be responsible for administration of Windows Server 2016 or 2019.

Audience profile
This course is intended for IT professionals who have some experience working with Windows Server, and who are looking for a single one-day course that covers the Windows Admin Center.

Candidates suitable for this course:
Windows Server administrators who are relatively new to Windows Server administration and related technologies, and who want to learn more about the storage and compute features in Windows Server 2016.
IT professionals with general IT knowledge who are looking to gain knowledge about Windows Server administration especially around central and remote administration from the Windows Admin Center browser tool in Windows Server 2016/2019.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
A basic understanding of networking fundamentals.
An awareness and understanding of security best practices.
An understanding of basic AD DS concepts.
Experience supporting and configuring Windows client operating systems such as Windows 8 or Windows 10.
Additionally, students would benefit from having some previous Windows Server operating system experience, such as experience as a Windows Server systems administrator.

At course completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Download and install the WINDOWS ADMIN CENTER and extensions.
Configure WINDOWS ADMIN CENTER settings.
Define gateway settings.
And servers and workstations to the tool.
And servers and workstations to the tool.

Module 1: Overview of the WAC and Installation
This module provides an over-view of the key features of the WINDOWS ADMIN CENTER. It explains the requirements for installation. Student will download and install the WINDOWS ADMIN CENTER and configure the gateway.
