AI Builder Level 1: Introduction Course Outline

Overview
This 2-day instructor-led course is designed to introduce students to Microsoft AI Builder, which provides business users with point-and-click access to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As part of the Power Platform, AI Builder integrates with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and many other applications to simplify the use of cutting-edge AI techniques with new and existing business applications.

Audience Profile
The primary audience for this course is business users who are interested in incorporating AI and Machine Learning techniques into their existing systems.

Prerequisites
Students should have a solid understanding of their own data and business processes. They should also be comfortable with navigating PCs using the Windows operating system and should be familiar with standard data management tools such as Microsoft Excel. No programming or previous AI experience is required.

Module 1: Introduction to AI Builder
This module provides an overview of AI Builder. Topics include:
Definitions and terminology
Choosing a model type
Connecting to data
Training your model
Using insights

Module 2: Binary Classification
This module provides an introduction to binary classification. Topics include:
Using historical data to classify new data
Building and training a binary classification model
Building a model-driven application

Module 3: Object Detection
This module provides an introduction to object detection. Topics include:
Counting, locating, and identifying objects in an image
Building and training a detection model
Using your model in Power Apps

Module 4: Business Card Reader
This module provides an introduction to the Business Card Reader control. Topics include:
Connecting the business card reader control to CDS data
Mapping data fields
Using the model in a canvas app in Power Apps

Module 5: Text Classification
This module provides an introduction to automated text classification. Topics include:
Analyzing text and detecting patterns
Training a model for text classification and selecting tags
Using the model in Microsoft Power Automate

Module 6: Form Processing
This module provides an introduction to automated form processing. Topics include:
Introduction to Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Training a model to recognize forms
Mapping fields to your data model
Integrating the model with a desktop automation solution

Module 7: Using AI Builder with Power Apps
This module provides a more general overview of integrating AI Builder models into Power Apps solutions. Topics include:
Choosing your model
Building an app that uses AI
Publishing & maintaining your AI-driven app

Module 8: Using AI Builder with Power Automate
This module provides a more general overview of integrating AI Builder models into desktop automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate. Topics include:
Robotic Process Automation, revisited
Where AI fits into RPA
Choosing a model
Integrating your model into your Power Automate flows
