UI Flow and Power Automate Level 1: Introduction Course Outline

Overview
This 2-day instructor-led course is designed to give students an introduction to UI Flows, a component of Power Automate that provides Robotic Process Automation capabilities. UI Flows permit integration with legacy desktop and web applications, so that repetitive business processes can be automated and streamlined. Through a series of lectures and hands-on lab exercises, students will learn how to create attended and unattended flows, for both web and desktop scenarios.

Audience Profile
The primary audience for this course is business users who want to automate their business processes using Microsoft Power Automate.

Prerequisites
This course has no specific prerequisites, but students that have a good understanding of the processes they wish to automate will get the most out of the experience.

Module 1: Introduction to UI flows
This module provides an overview of UI Flows. Topics include:
UI Flows Overview
When and where to use UI Flows
Setting up UI Flows
Setting up an on-premises gateway
Upgrading from previous versions

Module 2: Create and test desktop UI flows
This module gets into development of UI flows for the desktop. Topics include:
Preparing the environment
Recording and editing steps
Using inputs and outputs
Creating and debugging a simple desktop flow

Module 3: Create and test Web UI flows
This module covers development of Web UI flows. Topics include:
Preparing the environment
Recording a Web UI flow
Using inputs and outputs
Editing a Web UI flow

Module 4: Run attended and unattended UI flows
This module covers use cases for UI Flows. Topics include:
Preparing the environment
Attended UI flows
Unattended UI flows
Running flows sequentially
Running flows concurrently

Module 5: Manage UI flows
This module provides a discussion of administrative issues with UI flows. Topics include:
Viewing your flows
Auditing your flows

Module 6: Integration with other products
This module discusses using UI Flows with other products. Topics include:
Power Apps
AI Builder
WinAutomation
