Overview
This 1-day course will provide teachers and educators with the tools to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) technologies to optimize lesson planning, instruction, materials, assessment, and feedback. Not only will teachers be able to build materials and resources that elevate the learning experience, but they will also be able to foster critical thinking and engagement around various topics through AI tools.
Throughout this interactive course, teachers will use AI to craft their lesson plans, generate assignment directions, create quizzes and tests, compose rubrics, develop checklists, create cloze tests, provide writing instruction and feedback, generate reading passages at different levels, create writing prompts and story starters, practice peer feedback, and “debate the Bot” to strengthen student arguments.
By the end of this course, teachers and educators will understand the power of AI and GPT to transform classrooms, boost student engagement, and enhance learning outcomes. Through collaborative activities, interactive learning tools, and instruction that leverages AI technology, teachers can create a vibrant, student-centered learning environment.
