To see the class meeting times for your time zone, hover the mouse over the date listed on this outline page and the class times will pop up. Classes typically start at 8 pm Eastern, 7 pm Central, 6 pm Mountain, and 5 pm Pacific. Classes meet from 2 to 3 hours each night, depending on the particular class.
Where does the class meet?
All After-Hours classes must be taken from your home or office. If you want to attend a class from one of our physical training locations, you will need to take the version of this class that meets during the regular weekday. PowerPoint Beyond the Basics Weekday Class
Is this the same content as the daytime class?
The instructor will review the most important topics during the live instructor-led session. However, the duration of the evening class is slightly less than the daytime class. To compensate for the reduced hours, we include our ONLC On-Demand content. These are self-study materials that will not only fill in the gaps in your learning, but you will also give you the opportunity to review concepts for 6 months after the class. In addition, should you not be able to attend one of the evening sessions, you will have the On-Demand content to bring you back up to speed. We've got you covered!
What software and hardware is needed?
- You need just a basic computer with an internet connection. The software will be loaded on our servers and you will connect to that computer. (So no software is needed on your computer). Here's a more detailed list:
- At least 1 monitor (Dual monitors or 2 devices would be helpful, but not required.)
- Audio Connection. You can use audio from your computer with a microphone (a standalone microphone, headset, or even a camera that has a microphone.) Most laptops will have a built-in microphone and speaker.Or use your cell phone.
Overview
Meetings, instruction, training, pitches; these are all a part of our daily lives. We are often called upon to deliver presentations with little notice, at multiple venues, and with varying requirements. And, some of these presentations include sensitive information that needs to be guarded. Given all the variables, it may seem an overwhelming task to deliver your content, on time, to all audiences, and to only those who need to see it. Oh, and by the way, you need to make it interesting, informative, and memorable. So, how do you do it? Without the help of a robust set of tools, it would be nearly impossible. But Microsoft® Office PowerPoint® 2019 provides you with a variety of such tools that can help you deliver content in nearly any situation, while saving time and effort. By taking advantage of these tools, you will be creating presentations that not only stand out from the crowd, but also don't consume all of your available time.
This course covers Microsoft Office Specialist Program exam objectives to help you prepare for the PowerPoint Associate (Office 365 and Office 2019): Exam MO-300.
*** Version Note ***
This course is for individuals using PowerPoint 365, 2019 or 2016 and is taught using PowerPoint 2019 software. However, there are very few differences between the 365 and the 2016 versions from an end-user's perspective. Our instructors have used all versions and will be able to quickly highlight the several small changes to the user interface. Users of any of the versions of PowerPoint will have no problem learning in the 2019 software environment.
