Microsoft Authorized Training Options for Certification Exam Preparation

Microsoft certification exams are performance-based requiring you to complete specific tasks during the exam to prove your knowledge and understanding of the technology rather than memorizing information.

The best way to prepare for a Microsoft certification exam is by having hands-on experience with the technology.

ONLC provides authorized Microsoft training classes

ONLC Training Centers is a Microsoft Gold Learning Partner. We provide authorized Microsoft training that will help you prepare for certification exams.

Authorized training is available in two delivery formats:

  • Instructor-led training (ILT) classes
Our instructor-led training classes are live, hands-on instruction. Classes are led by a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). The class includes Microsoft official curriculum in digital format, and you'll do hands-on labs and exercises with the technology throughout the class. You can ask questions, participate in class discussions, receive direct assistance from the trainer during class and more. Review FAQs.

Students may attend an ILT class from any of ONLC's more than 300 locations or from your own home/office computer. ONLC typically limits ILT class enrollments to no more than 12 students nationwide to ensure for individual attention from the instructor.

  • MOC On-Demand (self-study)
    Microsoft discontinued MOC On-Demand June 30, 2020.
MOC On-Demand is Microsoft's official self-study option that you access using your own equipment. This format is most appropriate for experienced IT professionals and for those who can't spend days out of the office for instructor-led training (ILT). When you purchase a MOC On-Demand course you'll have 24/7 access to the on-line course for 90 days. A MOC On-Demand course includes self-paced video modules, hands-on labs, high-quality video presentations and knowledge checks. Course content is recorded and delivered by Microsoft experts.

Microsoft Digital Badges

Sample of Microsoft Digital Badge

Once you've passed a Microsoft technical exam or earned a Microsoft certification, Microsoft will provide you with a digital badge. Badges are web-enabled representations of your Microsoft certifications. Your digital badge is made of an image and metadata uniquely linked to you. This ensures that only you can take credit for your achievement.

You can share the details of your skills in a trusted and verifiable way. You can share your digital badge to popular online destinations, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. It can also be embedded in a résumé, your personal website, or an email signature.

Anyone who views your badge can select it to learn about your skills and verify authenticity.

Next Step: MCSE Core Infrastructure

MCSA certification is a prerequisite for MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) certification.

Once you have earned MCSA: Windows Server 2016 certification, you just have to pass one (1) more exam from a list of approved electives to earn MCSE Core Infrastructure.
