Because this course is not offered directly from VMware, we can not accept VMware vouchers as payment. In addition, VMware requires that you take training directly through them to count toward their certification program. If you want VMware certification, you will need to take training through VMware directly.

Overview
Our VMware vSphere Infrastructure Deployment class offers an in-depth exploration of virtualization with ESX Server and vCenter. Ideally suited for both intermediate and advanced IT professionals, this course covers all the bases and emphasizes “best practice” techniques for maintaining a production VMware vSphere environment. Each student will individually install and configure an ESX 4 Server “the right way” and then configure a complete VMware vSphere environment. Once each student has had the opportunity to configure his/her own environment, we will cluster the classroom ESX Servers and explore the more advanced vSphere concepts like Distributed Resource Scheduling, High Availability and Distributed Power Management.

Students will complete the class with a level of knowledge and comfort with VMware vSphere which they have never had before. All students will have hands-on experience with real servers which will translate directly to their professional environment.

Students will learn how to:
•Install and configure ESX 4, vCenter Server, VMware Consolidated Backup
•Create and manage Virtual Machines and Appliances
•Connect to SAN Storage, manage storage paths, create VMFS Volumes
•Manage virtual networking including multiple NIC's, Load Balancing and Fail-over
•Configure Roles, Privileges and Permissions
•Monitor Tasks, Events and Alarms
•Perform Physical to Virtual migrations using the VMware Converter Enterprise
•Configure ESX Server Clusters
•Implement vMotion and Distributed Resource Scheduling
•Implement High Availability
•Use Fault Tolerance
•Manage resources with Resource Pools
•Remediate both ESX Servers and VM's using the VMware Update Manager
•Backup VM's using VMware Consolidated Backup
