The New Generation of Microsoft certifications are here and provide a simpler, more targeted framework to validate your skills.

Appropriate for individuals with MCSA, MCSE, MCDST, MCDBA, MCAD and MCSD certification who are now looking to upgrade their status to a New Generation certification.

Standard Certification Path

Standard progression is to obtain your Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification and then if desired continue on with the Professional series certification (MCITP/MCPD).

Upgrade Certification Path

Individuals who hold other Microsoft certifications including MCSA, MCSE, MCDST, MCDBA, MCAD or MCSD can upgrade their credentials to the new releases in a very straightforward way. In some cases you will receive multiple Technology Specialist (MCTS) credentials; in others you will go right to the second series certification of Professional (MCITP / MCPD).

Upgrade paths are not available for Exchange Server 2007, BizTalk Server 2006 or Office 2007 as prior certifications exclusively or specifically for those topics do not exist. View the standard path to see the certifications available for those technologies.

Windows Server 2008 training at ONLCNo upgrade paths are planned from Windows Server 2000 or Windows XP to Windows Server 2008.

ONLC will be adding more authorized Windows Server 2008 titles to the schedule as they are released by Microsoft. See listing of Windows Server 2008 classes.
