When you attend a class via Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI) you'll be using remote desktop technology to control a PC in the instructor's classroom from your computer. You'll be able to view the instructor's presentation and whiteboard, listen and participate plus receive on-screen help from the instructor.

RCI is NOT e-learning, a webinar, pre-recordings or computer-based training (CBT). It is live, hands-on, interactive instruction. The only difference is that you and the instructor are in different locations.

At a minimum you'll need the following components to attend class via RCI:

• A computer running Windows
  If available, a second computer to see the broadcast of the instructor presentation alongside of the classroom image on which you'll perform the exercises and labs. If using a single computer, you will need to open another browser window to view the instructor's presentation.

• High speed Internet connection (DSL or faster)

• Speaker phone or hands-free headset for your telephone*

You do not need the software for the class on your computer. You will be accessing it from ONLC's system.

Prior to class we recommend that you demo RCI for familiarity and to verify you have access if connecting through a corporate firewall.

Although not required, having Sun's Java application on your computer will improve delivery performance. This is free software that can be downloaded at www.java.com

You will be sent the class connection information via email a few days prior to class. Please review the information thoroughly.

Contact us at 1.800.288.8221 immediately if you have not received the connection email by Noon (Eastern Time) the Friday before your class, or if you have not received the course materials by
Noon (Eastern Time) the business day before your class.
