MTA is an entry-level Microsoft certification that validates the fundamental knowledge those new to IT need to start building a career in Microsoft technologies. With a modest investment of time and resources, candidates can build foundational understanding in the areas of IT Infrastructure, Database or Development.
Pass a single MTA exam and you'll earn a MTA certification.
ONLC Training Centers, a Microsoft Gold Partner, has the Microsoft authorized MTA classes that will help you prepare for MTA certification. Classes are hands-on, instructor-led training offered at our more than 300 training locations. Not near one of our sites? Attend the same live classes from the convenience of your home/office PC via our Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI™) technology.
MTA is appropriate for individuals who have an interest in starting a career in IT or wish to further their learning. MTA is an excellent stepping stone to MCSA, MCSE and MCSD certifications and provides a certification for those not yet ready to pursue those credentials.

Retired MTA Certification Exams
Microsoft retired some of the MTA exams on July 31, 2015. New exams are expected, however, no specifics are available from Microsoft at this time. Certiport (MTA authorized testing provider) will continue to offer the retired exams for up to 6 months from the retirement date. We strongly recommend students impacted by this change contact CompTIA immediately to schedule their exam.
